# 2-1. Add a Google Workspace Account with Automation

> Steps to add a Google Workspace account using automation.

<Info>
  **Permission for this service:** This feature requires **Admin** or **Automation Manager** permission.

  **SaaS status:** The target SaaS must already be connected. The connection must use administrator credentials (including API permissions) that allow account creation and deletion.

This guide explains how to configure a workflow to automatically create Google Workspace accounts.

With this setup, you can automate routine tasks such as provisioning accounts on an employee's start date.

※ Services that require creating an additional email address, such as Microsoft 365, follow the same steps.

#### **Prerequisites**

Confirm the following settings are complete before creating a workflow.

  This service performs operations on behalf of the "Super Admin" account connected to Google Workspace.

  Because accounts outside the connected workspace cannot be created, you must connect each workspace individually.

| **Connect Google Workspace (the domain where you want to add accounts)** | Go to Integrations > Integrations and connect the **domain** (workspace) where you want to add accounts.<br />※ If multiple domains are registered under a single workspace, this step is not required.                                                                    |
| **Mapping in the workflow**                                              | Go to Automation > Services > Connection Settings > \[Add Connection] and confirm that the target Google Workspace domain is mapped in the "Add Service Connection" screen.<br />※ If multiple domains are registered under a single workspace, this step is not required. |
| **Register directory information**                                       | Go to Directory > Directory Information and configure the following as the workflow trigger and account information.                                                                                                                                                       |
| **Email address**                                                        | Register the **new email address to be created** in Google Workspace. The address does not need to exist at this point. It will be activated in Google Workspace after the automation runs.                                                                                |
| **Employment start date**                                                | This serves as the reference date for when the automation runs (e.g., the employee's start date).                                                                                                                                                                          |
| **Type**                                                                 | Used to filter the targets, such as full-time employees or contract employees.                                                                                                                                                                                             |

#### **Workflow Configuration**

Go to Automation > \[Create Automation] and create a Google Workspace "provision" workflow.

#### **Notes**

* **Domain mismatch**

  The directory email address domain must match the domain configured in the prerequisites. Otherwise, an error occurs.

* **License count**

  If the Google Workspace license limit has been reached, account creation will fail. Check the available license count in advance.
