Two-Factor Authentication Setup for MoneyForward Cloud Services

Based on security requirements introduced by the service provider, two-factor authentication (2FA) is now mandatory. This applies to integrations with the following services.

Services Requiring Two-Factor Authentication

  • MoneyForward Cloud Accounting
  • MoneyForward Cloud Accounting Plus
  • MoneyForward Cloud Attendance
  • MoneyForward Cloud Fixed Assets
  • MoneyForward Cloud Contracts
  • MoneyForward Cloud Invoice

Steps to Configure

If you attempt to connect without two-factor authentication set up, an error will be displayed. The integration will then fail. Please follow the steps below to set up two-factor authentication and reconnect.
  1. Set up two-factor authentication on the MFID account used for the integration. For setup instructions, please refer to Two-Factor Authentication Setup Guide.
  2. After setting up two-factor authentication, reconnect with the relevant service. For reconnection instructions, refer to Integration Steps When Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Is Enabled. Also see Re-executing the Integration.

If You Cannot Enable Two-Factor Authentication on Your Current MFID Account

Create a new MFID account dedicated to these integrations, set up two-factor authentication, and then reconnect.
