Managed devices send collected data to Admina over HTTPS (443)

Admina Tracker is agent software that automatically collects data from devices in your organization. The following data is available now:
  • Application usage (running applications)
The following data is planned for a future release:
  • Hardware (manufacturer, model, and serial number; CPU, memory, and storage)
  • System (OS version, installed applications, and encryption status)
  • Network (IP address, SSID, and MAC address)
  • Event logs (USB device connections and disconnections, login and logout, and sleep and wake events)
After installation, it runs in the background and automatically sends collected data to Admina.

Network requirements

To allow Admina Tracker to send data, allow the following communication through your firewall or proxy. Run admina-tracker diag to check connectivity for each stage — DNS resolution, TCP connection, and TLS handshake. See the CLI command reference for details.

Behavior behind a proxy

On Windows, the agent picks up the OS proxy settings (Internet Options) automatically. You normally do not need extra configuration. On macOS, or whenever you want to name a specific proxy, set the HTTPS_PROXY (or HTTP_PROXY) environment variable. When set, it takes precedence over the OS proxy settings.
PAC files (automatic proxy configuration scripts) and WPAD (auto-discovery) are not supported. In environments configured only through those, set the environment variable to name the proxy explicitly.
