All operations on this feature require Admin permission or the Survey Manager role. Viewing results requires Member permission or the Survey Viewer role. For details, see Basic Roles. To use the “Device” target type, the “Device Feature” add-on is required separately.

Overview

The survey feature lets you conduct employee surveys and streamline device and SaaS inventory. This feature collects and verifies information about devices and SaaS tools employees are authorized to use. It automates asset inventory. IT departments can reduce manual verification work and achieve more accurate asset management.

Workflow: From Survey to Action

This page explains the end-to-end workflow for conducting surveys and acting on the results. This includes employee surveys and device or SaaS inventory surveys.

Survey Design

Before creating a survey, clarify the following three points.

Define the objectiveClarify the purpose of the survey. Examples include:
Employee survey: identify communication challenges between departments to improve employee engagement.
Device inventory survey: accurately track IT assets per person and per department.
SaaS inventory survey: accurately track SaaS tools in use per person and per department.
Select respondentsBased on the survey’s objective, decide who should respond (all employees, specific departments, etc.).
Create the questionsWrite the questions needed to achieve the objective. State the intent of each question so respondents can understand it.
