Integration Specifications

Prerequisites

Getting your API token

  1. Log in to the Sanity management console and open the project to integrate. In the left-side menu, open API and select Tokens. Sanity project menu with Tokens under API highlighted
  2. Click Add API token in the upper-right corner. Tokens screen with the Add API token button highlighted
  3. Enter a name that shows the token is used for Admina in Name. Under Permissions, select the token’s role for Access level, and click Add token. The screenshot shows Developer selected. To use user removal, see the note below. Add API token dialog with the Add token button at the bottom right highlighted
  4. Click the copy icon to the right of the issued token to copy it, then save it. The token is shown only on this screen, so make sure to save it now. Issued token with the copy icon highlighted (token value masked)
  • Administrator is the only default role that can remove members. See Sanity’s Roles and permissions (external site). The Developer role can invite, read, and update members, but can’t remove them. Removing users from Admina requires permissions equivalent to Administrator.
  • The token needs permission to read the project’s members.
  • You can’t select the Administrator role when inviting from Admina.

Setting up the integration

  1. On the integration screen, search for Sanity.
  2. Enter the Sanity project ID (letters and digits) in Workspace key and the token in API key. Then click Connect. Sanity integration setup screen showing the Workspace key and API key fields
  3. Once the integration with Sanity succeeds, registered user information appears in the account list. If it doesn’t complete successfully, first try the steps in Troubleshoot SaaS integration errors. If that doesn’t resolve it, check Information to provide and contact support.
